During the 1950ies, Cees Braakman and his design team developed the nowadays sought-after ‘Japanse Serie’; All outside lines are clean and angular; there are no decorative elements and the wooden storage space has a floating appearance.
This DU-01 is the original ( documented ) smaller version of the famous DU-03 and one of the most attractive modest sized low board of that series. The one showed here was shipped to Japan.
